Amanda Soucy

Fitness and overall well being has been a part of Amanda’s life from a young age. Growing up an athlete, training and movement has always been a part of her daily routine. She has competed at the National Level in competitive cheerleading earning a National Title. Amanda went on to cheer at the professional level for two championship organizations. In the NHL she served as a Boston Bruins Ice Girl, and in the NFL as New England Patriots Cheerleader. She has two championship rings as a token of her participation in the winning seasons.

Amanda earned her Bachelors of Science in Hospitality Management at the University of New Hampshire. She currently has a career as a Model/Actress/Reporter.

Amanda understands the importance of the mind, body and soul connection which is where her passion for yoga began. Amanda crafts her class to cater to all levels and believes Yoga is not only a way to strengthen your physical body, but a way to deepen your spiritual practice and find calmness in your mind. She practices at various studios as often as she can learning new techniques from other yogis. Her training is recognized by the Yoga Alliance in Power Yoga, and she has completed extensions programs with CorePower to deepen her understanding of the art of Yoga. She hopes to share her passion for yoga with her students at the Vitality place and looks forward to seeing you on the mat!

Favorite social media?
I am very visual so I love Instagram.  I mostly just keep up with my friends but like anything related to travel, sports, health, fashion, skincare, also I love a funny meme.  So basically I follow everything.  Nicole Manelas has the best travel and adventure insta page 🙂

Breakfast for lunch and dinner

Coffee or Tea?
I think I have a mild coffee addiction but I love to unwind with tea at night

Favorite Book?
The Great Gatsby.  Just about every action and character is a symbol with a deeper meaning and I love books that make you think.

Podcast you’re listening to?
The Skinny Confidential they cover a variety of health, fitness, beauty and mental health topics.   They have awesome guests and the hosts are totally authentic. I also love Super Soul Sunday!

Favorite music artist?
This is an impossible question.  I really like The Weeknd, Miley Cyrus, Rebelution, Stevie Nicks.  I’ll stop there because the list goes on and on!

Favorite thing to do on the weekend?
I am a big believer of working hard and playing harder. The week can be so hectic so I love working out on the weekends.  Luckily my closest friends do too so we can usually make a morning of working out then go out all night.  I have the best group of friends few things are better than just hanging with them.  I have a big family too so i have some kind of family party just about every Sunday.

What motivates you to workout?
The release you get from working out, its a great way to decompress and get those endorphins going.  I was always an athlete so its the best way i know to deal with stress.  If i don’t get break a sweat every day i get antsy, i love being active.
