Meet Renee Hall
Renee Hall was born in Massachusetts but mainly grew up in Pelham, New Hampshire. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire with her Bachelor of Science in Child Development. She just finished her Master of Education in Elementary Education! She is currently super excited to be looking for a job working in an elementary school close by! She has always loved working with children and is excited to continue working with them through dance! Her whole life, she grew up dancing. She danced at Lisa Pilato Dance Center in Dracut, Massachusetts from the age of 3 until age 18. She danced competitively at that studio for about 13 years.
Throughout college, she never gave up her love for dance. She joined a hip hop and step team called Sister’s In Step where she met some of her closest friends. She worked as a choreographer on the team her senior year. Also in her senior year, she got certified as a Zumba instructor and taught at UNH that whole year.
Renee became very interested in Barre and received her certification to teach barre. She also teaches other fitness class such as Cardio Dance. Cardio dance is her absolute favorite class because she believes it is a fun way to get your workout in for the day! She teaches dance and fitness because she wants to make a difference in other peoples’ lives, the same way any teacher would. She thinks the most important part about dance and fitness is making it fun and engaging. She believes working out shouldn’t be something you worry about or dislike, it should be something you look forward to in order to have a fun, healthy, and active life!
Favorite social media?
Definitely Instagram. I LOVE looking at pictures/videos to inspire me!
Breakfast or Lunch?
Like they say, “breakfast is the most important meal of the day”. They are SO right. I wouldn’t make it through my workouts without it!
Coffee or Tea?
I definitely drink way more coffee than I need to.. however, I love having tea every once in a while!
Being a teacher, most of the books I read are children’s books or basic teacher books! In becoming a first year teacher, I try to make sure I know most of the books! My favorite children’s book is “Giraffes Can’t Dance” by Giles Andreae. It’s about a Giraffe who struggles to dance but through confidence and perseverance, he eventually can in the end!
Favorite music artist?
I’m into sooo many different types of music! All the way from rap to country music! However, one of my favorite artists would definitely be Rihanna or Beyoncé!
Favorite thing to do on the weekend?
I have a big Italian family, so every Sunday we get the family together and have a big Italian Sunday dinner!
What motivates you to workout?
Being able to look good and feel good in my own skin! Nothing is better than knowing you’re pushing your body to work hard to get good results!
