She also completed coursework in dance including dance technique, composition, and research methods from the field of performance studies while receiving bachelor’s degrees in Elementary Education, Nutritional Health, and Business Management.Heather then went on to further her career in education receiving her master’s degree in special education from Merrimack College.  Heather is currently a fourth grade classroom teacher and small business owner. In her free time, she loves being with her family, working on interior and graphic design projects, and being at TVP!After Heather graduated, she realized there weren’t many options to continue dance as an adult until she found The Vitality Place, where she instantly felt at home. Being a client at TVP from the beginning, Heather is excited to transition into the role of instructor and help others on their dance and fitness journey.

Breakfast or Lunch?
Breakfast without a doubt! I’m a classic scrambled eggs, potatoes, and toast with a side of pancakes kind of girl.

Coffee or Tea?
There’s nothing like a hot cup of coffee in the morning! I love an iced green tea in the afternoon sometimes as a little pick-me-up.

I love books related to spiritual and personal growth and positive mindset. The Power of Now, The Secret, Project 369, Lunar Abundance, and Attunement to name a few!

I actually have never listened to a podcast! I have always preferred to listen to music.

Favorite music artist?
There are so many depending on my mood and I love all genres! Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ziggy Alberts, Florence + The Machine, Lana Del Ray, Britney Spears (obviously) and anything with a good beat 🙂

Favorite thing to do on the weekend?
On weekends, my favorite thing is to enjoy family time with my husband Mike, our daughter Isla, and our dog Kota. We usually take weekend trips or have friends over to visit.

What motivates you to workout?
It can be so difficult to get myself to workout sometimes, but I know that I will always feel my best (physically and mentally) after a good workout, especially at TVP! I also love to see progress and to be able to do things in class that I once couldn’t. Dancing and exercising regularly definitely keeps me in the best headspace.
